Charlie (medical hold)

Green Wing Macaw

In care since: August 2026
ADOPTION FEE: $2000.00
FOSTER LOCATION: Lethbridge
Gender: DNA male
Age: 18 years

Charlie is a fantastic green wing macaw at 18 years old! He was in his original home all 18 years until his owner got ill and could no longer care for him. Charlie is on the quieter side for a macaw and has quite a vocabulary. Charlie loves men and is eager to be friends with them.

When he wants to step up, he will put his foot right out for you to take him anywhere!

Charlie has plucked his feathers most of his life, but don’t let his naked body fool you – his funky personality makes up for his lack of feathers!

Charlie is used to being around dogs and other birds. He loves to be in and on his cage and would do well with a family willing to have his cage in a central area of the home. He will even close his own cage door when he needs a break.

Charlie was on an all seed/nut diet for 18 years but has now been transitioned to pellets and chop. He loves to eat nuts in the shell.

Charlie is not a suitable bird for young children.

Charlie will come with a large 40×30 play-top cage and all his perches and supplies.

Charlie is currently on medical hold as he is getting some further testing done at our avian vet clinic.

Ripley and Hicks are an absolutely beautiful pair of cockatiels! They love to watch their foster family do everything and they are very bonded. Hicks (male) is a little more hesitant towards humans at this time. Both are still a little hand shy and are working on stepping up. They would be a great addition to any family home looking for a fun pair. They are good around other small birds. They will come with their large 32×24 flight cage and all supplies.

Ripley and Hicks are not suitable for young children.

Diesel

Military Macaw

ADOPTION FEE: Medical Case – Please Contact
FOSTER LOCATION: Lethbridge
Gender: DNA Male (no paperwork)
Age: 10 Years

Diesel is an absolutely gorgeous military macaw. He was rescued from a breeding ring in Saskatchewan. Because of this, Diesel is quite hand and people shy.

He will step up on a perch willingly to be transported to a stand. He is an extremely loud bird at certain times of the day. Diesel will need a patient home willing to go at his pace. Diesel seems to be fine with other birds in the home as long as they aren’t in his space. He will come with a large 40×30 play-top cage.

He loves nuts in shell and his fresh chop every morning. He will take treats from humans as long as they go slow and watch his body language.

Diesel would do best in a home that can have him in a central area where he can choose to go in and out of his cage as he pleases. Even though he does not trust people to touch him yet, he loves to be part of the action and watch the world go by.

Diesel has arthritis in his knees and a possible spinal injury. He is on gabapentin and meloxicam daily for pain.

Diesel is not a suitable bird for children.

Archie (green, 14 years) and Gibbs (blue, 7 years) are a wonderful little best friend pair of male quakers. They enjoy spending time together and out of their cage with their family members. Both are trained to fly to your shoulder or back to their cage, and they both love to eat! They will come with their cage and all accessories.

These 2 are great with other birds around them in the home. They would be suitable for any family looking for some quaker joy in their life.
